In 1994, Russel E. Durfee realized he had a real knack for computers. He learned all facets of the emerging information technology industry. Over the years, he realized his strengths were in web design and development. Russel very much enjoyed being able to use creative licence. His friends all had the same passion for IT, so along with his best friend, they started a company of their own. This company specialized in both IT consulting and website design/development consulting. After a few years, his partner decided to pursue a position with a larger company. Russel decided that he wanted to continue on doing what he loved.
In 2005, Durfee Graphic Designs (DGD) was born. We saw a necessity for a company that would cater to the needs of the small business person. There are a constantly rising number of people starting their own private business and they need attention! These people may not have the resources to spend a large chunk of cash or even want to; they are just taking the first steps toward financial independence and success by getting noticed on the internet. The industry standard for the cost of web design and development is outrageous. We saw very few web development companies that would even take on a project that was under $30,000!! We thought that website's, $500 or $30,000 are just as important to the people that need them. They are a reflection of their business' values and the website gives them access to clientele they never had before, especially for this area of the country where there are so many 'mom & pop' businesses that really want a chance to grow.
DGD likes the small city lifestyle and the midwestern ethics. This is why we prefer working with smaller businesses and newly emerging companies. No job is too small! We like to keep our business small as well, that is why we only take a limited number of clients. We believe that we need to do this to ensure that we give the necessary attention to our clients' website design projects. We do not have the overhead that a larger company does, and that keeps our costs down, in turn keeping our prices affordable to you. Our mission is to provide professional, quality, affordable services to our clients and to help our clients' business' grow by giving them access to the world of the internet.
